PRODUCT INFORMATION
Product Overview
The Column-Type Bag Unloading and Opening System is designed for automatic depalletizing, opening and emptying of bagged powder or granular materials. The system uses a vertical lifting column and rotary arm equipped with a customized piercing-type gripper. It picks each filled bag from the pallet and transfers it to the cutting station. After the bag is slit, the system performs programmed shaking and positioning movements above the receiving hopper to discharge the material. The empty bag is then transferred to the designated collection position. The gripper, cutting device, receiving hopper, screen and empty-bag handling arrangement can be customized according to the bag dimensions, packaging material and product characteristics. Material-contact parts can also be manufactured in stainless steel when required.

PRODUCT INFORMATION
Working Principle
Filled bags are arranged on a pallet at the system picking position. The column-type robot moves vertically and rotates its arm toward the selected bag. The piercing-type gripper grips the bag and lifts it from the pallet. The bag is transferred to the cutting station and positioned above the receiving hopper. The cutting device slits the bag body in a controlled position. After cutting, the system performs programmed shaking, tilting and repositioning movements to discharge the powder or granular material into the hopper. When the discharge process is complete, the empty bag is moved to the designated collection position. The system then returns to the pallet and begins the next operating cycle.

FAQ
What does this column-type bag unloading system do?
It picks filled bags from a pallet, transfers them to a cutting station, opens the bags, shakes out the material and moves the empty bags to a collection position.
What is the maximum payload?
The total payload is up to approximately 120 kg, including the gripper. The suitable bag weight depends on the actual gripper weight and system configuration.
What is the working reach?
The reference working reach is approximately 2,200 mm.
What is the maximum pallet stack height?
The standard configuration is suitable for palletized bag stacks up to approximately 1,600 mm high.
What is the reference handling rate?
The reference handling rate is approximately 200–300 bags per hour. Actual output depends on the bag size, material flowability, cutting process and shaking time.
What type of gripper is used?
The system uses a piercing-type bag gripper designed to securely hold the bag during lifting, cutting and shaking.
Can the gripper be customized?
Yes. The gripper size, piercing arrangement and gripping structure can be customized according to the bag dimensions, material and weight.
How is the bag opened?
The bag is transferred to a customized cutting station and slit above the receiving hopper.
How is residual material discharged?
The system performs programmed shaking and tilting movements to help remove material remaining inside the opened bag.
What happens to the empty bag?
The empty bag is transferred to a collection position, collection bin or optional bag compactor.
Can material-contact parts be made of stainless steel?
Yes. The receiving hopper, screen and other material-contact components can be manufactured in stainless steel when required.
Can the system handle both powders and granules?
Yes. The solution can be designed for bagged powders and granular materials, subject to evaluation of flowability, dust, corrosiveness and other material characteristics.
Can it be integrated with downstream conveying equipment?
Yes. The receiving hopper can be connected to screw conveyors, pneumatic conveyors, vacuum conveyors or other material-transfer equipment.
What information is required for a quotation?
Please provide the material, bag size and weight, required capacity, receiving hopper dimensions, available installation space and destination country.
